Meet the Editors

Vania Ceccato is a Professor and Head of the Urban and Community Safety research group at the Department of Urban Planning and Environment at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analytical methods underlie her research on the nature of crime and fear in urban and rural environments.

Alejandra Luneke is a Professor at the Universidad Mayor School of Government, Deputy Director of the Instituto Milenio de Investigación sobre Violencia y Democracia (VioDemos), Principal Investigator at the Núcleo Milenio Complejidad Criminal, and of the Fondecyt Regular Project No. 1240879, ‘Gender, policing, urban margins: exploring the practices and social interactions of policewomen with subjects in Chile’ (2024–2027).
