The Power of Plans
About this issue
Issue number
Volume 48 – Number 4
Summary
The aim of this issue is to explore plans which worked, led to positive achievements, and were judged to be successful. To do this the editors commissioned seven international case studies which covered a range of strategic issues including regional development, transport, urban regeneration, landscape conservation, and climate change. They conclude that for a plan to succeed three factors are essential: vision; a sound institutional platform; and cultural fit.
