Summary
The papers in this issue highlight the need to integrate public health considerations into urban planning processes. With case studies form England, China and New Zealand, the contributors introduce innovative methodological strategies to better understand the urban planning–public health relationship. They emphasize the importance of cross-sector collaboration and governmental support to facilitate cooperation of the various parties in order achieve equitable, healthy and sustainable urban environments.
